 - Trails and tests come that impact our patience and give it a chance to grow. As patience begins to develop, strong character is cultivated, moving us ever onward toward maturity. There is no shortcut!  But by refusing to squirm out of your problems, you find yourself becoming the person you have always wanted to be. (bold mine).

Good morning everyone!

Read a beautiful prayer this morning by Joni Eareckson Tada:

I lift up my soul to you today, Lord. I am poor and needy, empty and destitute, without You.

As I make myself small in my eyes today, please help me to see how big You are!!

Makes me want to fly:) :)

Also listening on the radio to Dr. Robert Cook:

Dr. Cook reminds me that I have a heavenly partner, the Holy Spirit, who guides me in ALL things.

Also he reminds me that God is interested in me and my life!

Isn't God great!!

I recently received 366 Daily Devotional by Joni Eareckson Tada:

So many wonderful devotions - She writes in one of her devotions that touch my heart - I hope this helps you as much as it has helped me be grounded in Jesus.

What promises anchor your faith? Can you say that not one of them has failed? You can if your anchor is Jesus. He and his promises have been there all along - consistent, faithful, tested and true. (WOW)

Joni Tada - always ends in a prayer:
Father, help me sink my anchor deep in your promises. As life's waves broadside my boat, enable me to remember that every promise has its beginning and ending in Jesus.

Add to the prayer(by me) - to hold me, strength me when waves flow into the boat unexpectedly, to give me wisdom and to always show me, direct me to Your path for my life.

I am so glad I have Jesus in my life!

Good afternoon all -

Just a note in SPACE - from Jerry Bridges book "The Discipline of Grace:God's Role and Our Role in the Pursuit of Holiness" -

In justification we rely on what Christ did for us on the cross - It's done
In sanctification we rely on Christ to work in us by His Holy Spirit - it's done daily

The hard message on the radio from the late Pastor Robert Cook:
DO WE LOVE GOD with all our hearts, soul, mind and strength?
Then we should Love our neighbors as well.
BUT DO WE? DO WE FAIL TO LOVE GOD with all our hearts, soul, mind and strength? Because where is the LOVE OUR Neighbors in our heart?
Do we love other people, stuff MORE than we love GOD?
IF so repent to GOD - Please forgive me in putting everything first and you, God, last!
The best part - GOD forgives and opens your heart with all HIS LOVE!!

May God direct your footsteps today!!

Good morning!

A couple of thoughts -

The Good news - the Gospel...I read recently by Jerry Bridges the book

"The Discipline of Grace:God's Role and Our Role in the Pursuit of Holiness"... he reminds the Christians to preach the Gospel - the Good news ...to ourselves every day!!!!

Also I was listening to the Bridge (89.7) a wonderful radio stations with biblical sermons... This one particular sermon (summary of sorts that I can remember-lol) about the astronauts and their space suits...they don't go in space their suits brings them to space...in their suits they bring the world with them such as air, warm and such to survive... So we as Christians have Jesus Christ as our 'suits' (He is what we need to survive in this world)...without Jesus who are we??? Also why don't or why can't we ALL see Jesus? Are we different around others? Do they see Jesus in us??

21) When we TRY to reserve OUR strength it works out weariness. Spend to the hilt ALL WE have got and GOD'S recreating POWER is GREATER than all expended power. (Isn't that the TRUTH!!) (cap's mine)

REMEMBER:

25) Unless in the first waking moment of the day you learn to fling the door wide back and LET GOD IT, you will work on a WRONG level all day, BUT swing the DOOR WIDE OPEN and PRAY to your FATHER in secret and every public thing will be stamped with the presence of GOD. (WOW) (cap's mine)

From me: Our strength must come from GOD otherwise we are no different than anyone's else. The best part for me is the PEACE that transcends all understanding happens when the strength of GOD envelopes you!!!

Tuesday, December 14th (Happy Birthday Chrystal my little one)

Good morning y'all (lol),

Dr. Robert Cook spoke his message this morning on the family radio 94.7 (EST) and it sums up:

We worry because we don't know who is on the job... Ah.. but we do.. GOD IS ON THE JOB, so we should rest assured that we no longer need to worry .. because GOD IS ON THE JOB. WOOT!!

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. Faith is the Power of GOD.

Let God lead you and enjoy the adventure!!!
